Dear Lionsgate Employees,

We are off and running on our transformative combination with Starz. We are excited about our recent kick-off planning activities and want to keep you up-to-date on those efforts and others to follow with regular communications. While many of the details are still in the early planning stages, we do want to share with you what we know and what has been going on so far.

Deloitte has been retained as our consultants to help facilitate the planning around the integration of both companies. With their support, Lionsgate transition team members met with our Starz counterparts last Friday for a series of successful initial meetings with the goal of ensuring an effective and seamless transition. It was a very productive day with a real partnership spirit shown by both companies.

As part of these initial meetings, various committees were formed to begin sharing best practices of each business. These committees will meet on a weekly basis to facilitate the integration process.

One of the most important initiatives with which leadership is charged is building a dynamic corporate culture that takes into account the best of Lionsgate and Starz to create an even more vibrant place to work. Lionsgate and Starz management believe that it is crucial to maintain the integrity and spirit of both our companies while building something even more powerful together.

We hope you share our excitement for the future, and we’ll keep you updated on our progress!

Best,

Brian Goldsmith and Ross Pollack
